I have this huge urge to draw. I want to draw a lot of things: my own characters, random characters, other people's doll characters. I also want to do a large painting (I have the perfect 'canvas' for it but no idea). But when I pick up the pencil and paper, nothing comes out. The ideas just pour out of me and it seems impossible to begin anything.

That combined with the fact that I always ruin everything when I ink&color it... doesn't really even inspire to try. Lately, my best drawings are sketches, while some years back they were the best when they were finished and colored.

Depressing, really.

Who says you have to ink everything? :) Sketches are usually more interesting as a lineart than inked versions of them. Just clean the sketch enough in photoshop or something and darken it. Also one thing I've noticed worth trying is getting yourself a brushpen. A black marker that has a brush-like tip. It makes the lineart as lively as sketches. It takes to time to get to use one but it's a fun pen to work with! :D
